  • Giriş gereklilikleri
    * Lisans eğitimini en az 2.50/4.00 veya denk bir genel not ortalaması ile bitirmiş olmak.
    * Lisansüstü Eğitim Sınavı'ndan (ALES'den) EA puan türünde en az 80 puan veya GMAT'ten en az 600 puan veya GRE sayısaldan en az 700 puan almak.
    * Aşağıdaki belgeleri teslim etmek.
    o 4 yıllık bir üniversiteden alınmış lisans diploması veya mezuniyet durumunda olan adayların bu durumlarını belgeleyen resmi bir yazı.
    o Adayların eğitimleri sırasında almış oldukları dersleri ve notları gösteren resmi bir belge.
    o Üniversitece kabul edilen ingilizce seviyesini gösteren, YADYOK tarafından onaylanmış bir belge.
    o İki adet referans mektubu (Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, Yönetim Bilişim Sistemi bölümü mezunları dışındakiler için)
    o Kayıt İşleri Müdürlüğü'nce istenen diğer belgeler.

    YÖNETİM BİLİŞİM SİSTEMLERİ YÜKSEK LİSANS PROGRAMI

    Bilgi çağının temelini oluşturan yönetim bilişim sistemleri dünyada ve ülkemizde gün geçtikçe daha kapsamlı ve derinlemesine ele alınmakta, çok farklı uygulama alanları bulmakta, dolayısıyla da hızla önem kazanmakta ve birçok bilim dalını etkilemektedir. Yönetim bilişim sistemleri ile aktif etkileşime giren bu bilim dallarında söz konusu etkileşimin sağlam ve bilimsel bir temele oturtulması gereği kaçınılmazdır.

    Bu gelişmelere paralel olarak hemen hemen her alandaki kişiler yönetimde verimliliği arttıran bu sistemler ile ilgilenmekte ve kendi alanlarında bu konuda uzmanlaşmak istemektedirler.

    Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri Yüksek Lisans Programı'nın amacı bu alanda bilimsel altyapıya sahip uzmanlar yetiştirmek ve araştırma çalışmalarına katkıda bulunmaktır.

    TEMEL İLKELER
    • Program Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü'ne bağlı bir ana bilim dalıdır.
    • Programın Türkçe adı "Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri Yüksek Lisans Programı" ve İngilizce adı "Master of Arts Program in Management Information Systems" dır. Program kapsamında açılacak derslere MIS kodu verilmektedir.
    • Programın dili İngilizce'dir.
    • Programı başarı ile tamamlayanlara "Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri Yüksek Lisans Diploması"(Master of Arts in Management Information Systems) verilecektir.
    • Programdan mezun olunabilmesi için en az 9 ders ve 24 kredinin ve yüksek lisans tezinin başarıyla tamamlanması gerekmektedir. 9 dersin 6'sı zorunlu, 2'si seçmeli ve 1'i kredisiz seminer dersinden oluşmaktadır.
    • Program 2'si ders, 2'si tez olmak üzere 4 dönemden oluşup, 2 yılda tamamlanacaktır. Bu süre en fazla 6 döneme uzayabilir.
    • Lisans derecesini Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri'nden farklı bir bilim dalında almış olan öğrencilere lisans derslerindeki eksikliklerini tamamlayabilmeleri için en fazla 2 yarıyıllık bilimsel hazırlık süresi tanınabilir.

    The graduate program offers a course of study leading to the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in management information systems. It focuses on providing a balance between technical skills and knowledge of business processes. The aim of the graduate program is to give students a thorough knowledge of the field and to provide an enduring foundation for future professional growth where the emphasis is on introducing improvements in academic research.

    The program accepts applicants from various backgrounds who are interested in information systems and their applications in management. Successful applicants without prior experiences in information systems or management take one semester foundation courses. The graduate program is designed to be completed in four semesters. The students are required to take a minimum of 9 courses (24 credits) in two semesters and submit an M.A. Thesis.

    Organizations and decision making. Components of Decision Support Systems (DSS): Databases, model management, communication and user interfaces. Filtering, compiling, transformation and reforming appropriate data. Knowledgebase, datawarehouses, data mining. Expert systems mechanism and uncertainty factors, multi-criteria decision making, system dynamics and simulation, group DSS, executive information systems. Designing, implementation and evaluation of DSS. Impact of developing technologies on decision making processes. Application projects.
