GRAPHIC DESIGN Learn how to work like professional graphic designers. This approach is called “design for the real world” and its aims are for students to learn how to receive a briefing, prepare a budget, carry out a benchmark, design (conceptualization, first ideas and binding meetings) and present it to the client.
PRODUCT DESIGN The course increases the ability to design and make a prototype of a piece of wooden furniture. Different aspects are studied: functional requirements, ergonomics, materials and ensembles, production, finishes and communication. Lessons are given based on case studies and examples of furniture designs. Each student proposes an idea for a family of products, then designs and develops several products in the same family and, finally, makes a model or prototype of a piece. The course ends with the presentation in public of the finished piece and all the development and communication process of the family.
