    Admission conditions for the field
    The students who apply to this program should have taken and passed all courses (or equivalents) from the first group, and at least two courses (or equivalents) from the second group:

    BIO 309         Ecology of Major Ecosystems
    BIO 403         Conservation Biology
    BIO 418         Population Biology of Plants
    BIO 428         Population Biology
    BIO 432         Plant Biodiversity
    BIO 435         Animal Diversity
    BIO 438         Freshwater Ecology
    BIO 448         Field Ecology
    BIO 454         Ornithology
    BIO 470         Applied Ecology
    BIO 477         Microbial Ecology

    Admitted students may take a maximum of two relevant undergraduate courses to be counted towards their course work requirements.

    Ph.D. program (a minimum of 7 courses with credit)
