At Arden University we believe that everyone, everywhere has a right to Higher Education.
Here's a brief explanation of our journey from providing flexible online learning in partnership with established universities, to being awarded full University title in our own right and becoming Arden University.
50,000 students and counting
RDI started life as a family-owned business in 1990, giving learners worldwide an opportunity to further their education through flexible distance learning.
As an increasing number of students trusted us with their education and future, we kept growing with them and in April 2014 we were awarded Taught Degree-Awarding Powers. This meant that alongside providing higher education qualifications through our University Partners, we could also award our own degrees. In August 2015 we officially became Arden University – the only specialist distance (online) learning university to launch in the UK in the last 50 years.
We offer a wide range of Higher Education courses endorsed by professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Management Institute and the Association of Project Managers, as well as a Qualifying Law Degree – one of only five institutions in the UK to provide this course via online distance learning!
Why Arden University is different.
We offer access to degrees, masters and MBA programmes in both online distance learning and flexible on-campus study modes. Our students range from 18 to 80 years old and we support them on-campus (at our UK Study Centres) and online. We are proud to offer non-standard entry which means your work experience and previous qualifications are taken into account.
All our courses come with a strong focus on employability - many of which are accredited by professional bodies.
Our flexible and supportive courses are often the start of a journey that sees our students break free of limitations, work hard and become the best they can be.
